TERMS & CONDITIONS

A legal disclaimer

Meadow and Tea's Terms & Conditions provide a legal framework for the use of our website and the services we offer. It is important to note that the information provided on this page is for general guidance and should not be considered as legal advice. Each client's specific requirements and nature of the services will necessitate unique terms and conditions.

Understanding Our Terms & Conditions

Our Terms & Conditions outline the legal parameters that govern the interactions between our clients and visitors and Meadow and Tea as the service provider. Tailored to our specific offerings, our Terms & Conditions are designed to establish a clear legal relationship, protecting both parties involved. It is important to note that the nature of our T&C may vary based on the services we provide, ensuring legal compliance and protection.

Key Inclusions in Our Terms & Conditions

Meadow and Tea's Terms & Conditions cover a wide range of important aspects, including but not limited to: user eligibility, payment methods, provisions for future service modifications, warranties, intellectual property rights, account suspension or cancellation, and more.

CANCELLATIONS:

We do not return deposits that have been made on/after their due date due to the cancellation. Any payments made in advance to when they are due (i.e paid early) will however be returned minus the first deposit. For example, if you pay your booking in advance but only the first deposit was due at the time of cancellation, we will refund the difference from the first deposit.

DELAY OF BOOKING

When you book with us you are locking the price of the job up until the date of your wedding. If your wedding date is delayed or changed please consult us. We are always happy to update the booking, however we may need to re-quote if the delay exceeds 6 months on top of your previous agreed date.

PAYMENT DEADLINES

We have scheduled payment deadlines to fit our timeframes needed to purchase or hold any stock needed, reserve labour needed for your job and cover the time spent working on your job. This means that missing a payment deadline will cease production on your job and in turn, shorten our deadline. Should your deadline approach and we no longer have the time to fulfill your job, we reserve the right to terminate your job and all monies paid is non-refundable. If the job has been authorised to continue after the late payment has been made, we will commence progress on your job, however, by not meeting the agreed payment deadlines the selection of flowers and other supplies may no longer be available. We will attempt to source a suitable alternative, however, this may not be through our regular list of suppliers, which may incur additional costs. If we have completed your booking and are awaiting your balance in order to release goods, there is a deadline of 3 months from when you are notified your goods are completed. We cannot continue to store your order beyond this and we hold the right to cancel your booking and keep the deposits paid.

COLLECTION OF GOODS

If we have your order ready and we are awaiting its collection, you have a deadline of 3 months to collect or we hold the right to terminate the job and keep all deposits paid.

BRINGING A BOOKING FORWARD

We understand that life happens. If you have come into a situation where your booking needs to be brought forward, please contact us by emailing monica@meadowandtea.co.nz. We are always willing to help. However, by bringing it forward there may need to be some compromise on flower selections if we are unable to get part of the original selection due to short notice/time constraints. This may result in sourcing of stock exterior to our own range or express freighting goods, which will result in an additional cost. This additional cost will then be forwarded on to the client. Again we will always follow your design brief and discuss any alterations and continue to make the most appropriate decision for the best interest of the client.

POSTAGE

We do not hold responsibility for freight times. We use reliable freight companies and will always select the best method of courier for your booking determined by size, weight, price or location. As the couriers are a third party service (Go Sweet Spot), we are unable to refund your money if you have left an order to the last minute and your goods do not arrive in time to meet your deadlines. We also do not accept responsibility for being  provided with the wrong address. If you have given us the wrong address and the goods have been shipped, they are then in the hands of the third party provider. We will always endeavour to do our best to contact them and return the package or change the address but we cannot guarantee this.

CHANGE OF DESIGN DIRECTION

We understand that there is a whole world full of gorgeous colours and different  flowers. We definitely have and will continue to have clients change their mind after placing the booking. We always try to work diligently with our clients to prevent such things by touching base, however, it may not be able to be avoided. If you have decided to go in a different design direction, please contact us, as soon as possible and we will see what we can do. The more notice we have, the better. If we have already ordered, cut up stems or started production on your booking, we may need to charge a fee in order to replace the stock.

We are not referring to minor changes. This is referring to dramatic changes, e.g changing colours, changing the design substantially, etc. It is important to note that by changing course you do not get exactly what you want as we do need to sometimes order our stock in and may no longer have the time to do so. We will also charge a rate of $60 per hour to make these adjustments to your job.

FLOWER SELECTION

We will do our utmost to ensure you receive the flowers of your choice based on your design, but do keep in mind that items can become discontinued. We will do our utmost to source the next best alternative, however, there may be a price difference, which we will inform you of, before we order an alternative.

JOB REVIEWS

Once we have completed your booking, you will be provided with photos and/or videos of your booking. Our provided content is clear and any issues or alterations required, should be addressed during this time. By reviewing these and authorising to have them posted or delivered, you are confirming your satisfaction with the work. We do not refund money for change of mind on delivery.

PRODUCT USE

All of our products are for decorative purposes only. They are not for consumption and we do not recommend using them with food. Artificial and dried flowers should not get wet. Please avoid getting them wet by having wet weather options for your event. Artificial and dried flowers do contain dyes and inks and may bleed and run.

All items remain the property of Meadow and Tea during your event and upon collection and they must be in the same condition they were in when installed for your event. If there is damage and loss, we will have to invoice you for the loss, as many of these items, particularly the artificial flowers are very expensive per stem, due to their high quality from being hand-made and hand-painted. An administration fee of $30.00 will also be charged to cover the administration time to create the invoice and time taken to order new stock.

INSURANCE

Meadow and Tea has indemnity insurance and cover for accidents and will operate in a way to minimise risk from a Health and Safety perspective whilst working at the venue, but it is also the responsibility of the client to ensure they understand any requirements regarding live candles (if being used), by discussing items like this with the venue Manager and what systems they have in place to minimise risk of fire as well as how they deal with a fire if in the unfortunate event that this arises  and ensure Health and Safety protocols are followed etc.

Hired goods are at your risk while in your possession, and you must ensure that they are insured during that time.

INVOICE ALTERATIONS

An administration fee of $30.00 will be applied to your invoice for any alterations not resulting in additions.  This includes but is not limited to changing inspiration photos, removing items, swapping items. This is to cover our time in making these adjustments and resending the invoice.
