Care Instructions

The beauty of artificial flowers is they require little maintenance, however you do need to look after them, so they look their best. Here are some basics:

We recommend using a hairdryer on low heat to blow away the dust, a gentle hand vacuum cleaner, or a soft gentle dusting with a duster or microfibre cloth. Doing this regularly will ensure they will always look fresh.
For the real-touch flowers and foliage, (latex covered) do not use cleaning solutions. A soft damp microfibre cloth works well to remove blemishes.
Avoid displaying in direct sunlight for long periods as fading may occur over time.
Be careful about placing arrangements in windy areas.
Do not water the flowers or allow them to get wet or sit in water as the stems contain metal and could rust.

Can arrangements go outside?

If you are using your arrangements for a party, then you certainly can, however, they cannot be left outside to get wet, as they contain wire centres and can rust. They also should be protected from strong wind.

Will faux flowers give me an allergic reaction?

Faux flower arrangements are great for allergy sufferers, as they are not real! They are also pet friendly.

How long do the flowers last?

If looked after, artificial/faux flowers and foliage can last for many years, however, the brighter colours will likely fade over time.

Can you do bespoke arrangements?

We certainly can. Simply email us to describe what theme/colour/shape/size and type of arrangement etc you would like and we would love to create something unique and beautiful for your home or business. Or fill out our contact form.

Can we use our own vase for your arrangements?

We definitely can do our best to suit the style and type of vase you would like your arrangement in. To best help us, a photo of the space, vase and place you want the arrangement to go in would be required. A bespoke design fee would apply and a minimum spend of $250. Can I pay via invoice?

Absolutely yes. If you email us, we will send you an invoice that you can pay via bank transfer, or Google Pay, or Apple pay via the invoice.

Do you provide a vase with your arrangements?

With our hired arrangements that are destined for New Zealand addresses, yes. They predominantly come in a compote vase. However, with our arrangements for purchase, due to the fragile nature of a vase and the risk of them getting broken in transit, (particularly for international shipping, which we will be introducing soon), we sell the vases separately, so customers can make their own choice. We always do our utmost to pack our vases in the best way possible to avoid damage, but unfortunately a lot of courier companies will not guarantee that damage will not occur.

What are your prices for Event Styling?

Every wedding or event is different, as it depends on the size of the space being decorated, the number of people attending and how many tables to decorate and how lush you want the floral and decorations to be. This means it is important for us to get all the information required about what you would like in terms of; theme/colour/types and number of floral arrangements and where you want the arrangements etc. Filling out our contact form here will help us to generate a quote based on your requirements.

However, as a guide, our pricing generally starts at around $1,200 for a small wedding with minimal floral arrangements (eg. a suspended faux floral arrangement as the main decoration, candle hire, with minimalist style florals on five tables for 30-50 people) and can go up to $6,000 or more for a large wedding with many areas decorated with florals and decor items (eg an event with 150 people, 18 tables decorated, bar decorations, photo area decorations, welcome sign with florals, large head table florals etc)

Can we hire your arrangements?

You certainly can. We offer a monthly subscription in two sizes (Regular or Large). You get a new faux floral arrangement delivered every month (New Zealand only). You simply keep the box and packaging they are sent in and at the end of the month we will email you to remind you to send it back with the pre-paid courier ticket and we will send you a fresh, new delightful arrangement. You can let us choose the design and colours or we can create a bespoke package to suit your chosen colours/theme etc (additional bespoke design fee will apply. We would email a quote to you giving detail of bespoke fee).

We also offer Event Styling for weddings and events, which allows you to have faux florals for your wedding or event that are designed for your theme and are hired for your special day. Can you ship arrangements overseas?

We are currently working on setting up things to ship to certain international destinations. Watch this space!

What are the shipping charges?

Shipping is $17.50 for North Island, and $24.50 for the South Island, New Zealand.

Remote New Zealand destinations will require you to email us via monica@meadowandtea.co.nz to send you a quote for shipping costs.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

We aim to create your arrangement within 1-3 days after you submit your order and then your package should arrive within 1-5 working days following dispatch (for orders within New Zealand). You will receive a tracking email via Go Sweet Spot, when it is sent. Some orders may take longer to prepare such as items that require the making and curing of artificial water. Please do contact us if you have any specific delivery requests and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

How often will I receive an email if I subscribe through your website?

We don't like spam, however our monthlyish email will contain information about any new floral designs, new products and you will be able to take advantage of special offers and other news.
